Graduate Polymer and Chemical Engineers have the opportunity to work in our world class consumer packaging manufacturing facilities on developing and producing industry leading sustainable food packaging solutions.
Graduates will gain experience in a range of cutting-edge technologies, including sheet extrusion, injection moulding, thermoforming and product decoration, with sophisticated in-house VACUREMA recycling system integrated with our extrusion lines enabling the use of post-consumer, non-food grade PET flakes to directly extrude high quality, food grade sheet.
Our drive to improve the recyclability of plastic food packaging has resulted in a range of innovative solutions, including our pioneering Detecta by Mannok, a world first solution to make the recycling of black PET meat trays possible.
Working alongside our expert Engineers, you will have an important role to play in ensuring the efficient running of production and maintaining the highest product standards, gaining experience in challenges in all operational and strategic aspects of the business including product, quality assurance, engineering and product development.
The carefully structured programme will expose you to real projects and challenges faced in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with support from a dedicated, experienced mentor.
The programme will also ensure you have the opportunity to develop a working knowledge of a wide range of polymers (PET, PP, PS and PE) plus gain experience of working in a manufacturing environment which is fully accredited to international standards.
Minimum 2:1 Honours degree in Polymer / Chemical Engineering or an Engineering degree with Polymer / Chemical specialism.
