Quinn Lite Pac, a leading manufacturer of EPS (expanded polystyrene) insulation, have been recognised as one of Ireland’s longest ISO9001 certified organisations by the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) and the International Certification Network, IQNet.
In a ceremony held in Dublin, Quinn Lite Pac were among a small number of Irish organisations presented with an IQNet/NSAI Award of Distinction by the President of IQNet, Mr. Michael Drechsel and NSAI CEO, Ms. Geraldine Larkin, recognising the longevity of their ISO certification.
The certification is internationally recognised as a standard of excellence in the implementation of Quality Management Systems for the benefit of both the organisation and its customers.
Quinn Lite Pac has been ISO9001 certified for 27 years, having received their first certification in 1990. The company has been producing EPS insulation for over 40 years. Established in 1975, it became part of the now Quinn Building Products company in 1994.
The awards ceremony was attended by Minister for Employment and Small Business, Pat Breen TD, and Paul Lynam of the British and Irish Chamber of Commerce.
NSAI Chief Executive Geraldine Larkin congratulated Quinn Lite Pac on its achievement and said the company is a clear testament to the importance of international certification, which is underpinned by standards.
“Achieving certification takes hard work and dedication. It can only occur when a team of smart, competent, dedicated people work together, but it also takes great leadership and a team effort. To maintain that level of quality over two decades is truly an admirable achievement. I wish Quinn Lite Pac every success and look forward to continuing NSAI’s close relationship with the company as it moves into the future” said Ms. Larkin.
Speaking after the awards ceremony, Colm McCormack, Divisional Manager of Quinn Lite Pac said,
“We’re very proud to be recognised for our history of quality management in this way. Our record shows the importance we place on quality and excellence. This is ingrained in every area of our operations, and something we take very seriously.
We can only achieve this recognition by always developing our quality standards and constantly seeking to better the way we do things. That ethos is something we apply to our products, procedures, customer service, operations, and our people. It’s the embedding of excellence throughout every strand of our organisation that has ensured we achieve such high standards year on year.
We’ve done this for over 40 years now, and that’s a history you simply can’t buy.”
This achievement comes at a time when the EPS insulation market is experiencing a surge in demand, with innovative low energy building systems adopting EPS as a solution to meet the demand for rapid construction techniques, and many construction professionals opting to use EPS insulation as a cost effective alternative to PIR insulation, given the current shortage of the latter in the market.
