Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the role will involve assisting in the day to day purchasing of stock for Mannok Building Products. You will work closely with other internal departments such as engineering, stores and accounts and also deal directly with suppliers in order to ensure timely and cost effective purchase of goods for multiple sites and factories. The role offers a number of exciting opportunities which will include building relationships with existing suppliers, sourcing of new suppliers and a close working relationship with internal personnel. You will also ensure that the quality of goods/services meet with the required specification.
The successful candidate will be involved in daily administration duties, placing stock orders, assisting sites/factories with organising repairs and maintenance, chasing outstanding orders and dealing with invoicing issues. In order to carry out this role successfully the ideal candidate will possess commercial acumen, negotiation skills and excellent communication skills.
Candidates must be self-motivated, have good inter-personnel skills, have an ability to work on their own initiative and carry out any other duties as deemed relevant by the management.
