As the UK’s largest construction industry event came to a close, Quinn Building Products celebrated the success of its inaugural attendance at Ecobuild.
For the first time, Quinn Building Products exhibited its portfolio of building products at the construction industry’s most well attended exhibition and conference show and amazed stand visitors with its insight, innovation and demonstrations.
Not only did Quinn Building Products have multiple products on display on its stand including its new Full Fill Insulation board, the company also delivered no fewer than ten Quinn Expert Talks and Seminars on its stand and the Specifier Live Stage at Ecobuild. These talks and seminars expounded essential industry developments including Building Information Modelling (BIM), Thermal Bridging, Building Regulation and other new and emerging technologies.
Crowds flooded through the doors of Ecobuild in anticipation of what new and existing products and services were on offer were not disappointed when reaching Quinn Building Products stand.
Paul Melanophy, Business Change Manager at Quinn Building Products said: “Although we were familiar with Ecobuild, it was still somewhat unknown as to how many visitors we could expect to come to our stand and we were pleasantly overwhelmed by the level of footfall, enthusiasm and attention from the visitors we received.
[gdlr_quote align=”center” ]As more and more people came to the stand – interest levels heightened and pretty soon we were inundated with enquiries, requests for product demonstrations and questions on how and where our building products could be purchased. It was a great opportunity for our highly skilled Technical Experts Team to engage with visitors.”[/gdlr_quote]
Members of the Quinn Building Products Technical Experts Team were available on the stand throughout the show to offer advice on building product solutions and deliver Quinn Expert Talks and Seminars both on the Quinn Building Products stand and as part of the Ecobuild content programme in the Learning Hubs and Specifier Live Stage. As a result visitors could gain valuable information on how to best utilise and install Quinn Building Products range of products as well as learn about industry developments, new building regulations and what is to come as part of a Digitally Built Britain.
A key part of the Quinn Building Products engagement strategy was the launch of a New Product; Quinn Therm IsoShield, a Full-Fill Cavity Wall PIR Insulation board, specifically designed to improve the thermal performance of the cavity wall without the need for wider cavities – allowing the design of the building to retain valuable internal floor space.
Seamus McMahon, GB Sales Director for Quinn Building Products said: “Ecobuild was the perfect time to launch our new IsoShield Full Fill Insulation, this outstanding, high-performance product complements our existing range of industry leading insulation boards.”
Not to be one to sit back and wait for the crowds to come to them – which they did – Quinn Building Products purposely created a Virtual Learning Hub for its stand alongside local further education college South West College and invited show visitors to experience first hand in a Virtual Environment just how effective its insulation products are in preventing heatloss through thermal bridging.
In partnership with South West College, Quinn Building Products created the immersive virtual, physical and digital experience where visitors could walk through a room which had key junctions highlighted to demonstrate and exemplify heat loss due to thermal bridging. The viewer learned how optimum thermal conductivity is achieved by selecting the right Quinn Building Products range of products and accredited construction details.
Stephen Moss, Curriculum Manager for Technology at South West College said: “The Virtual Reality house has the style of an architecturally designed home and is perfectly suited to achieving Passive House Thermal Standards – we wanted to use this to showcase digital construction and design using the most innovative technology available. The popularly of the learning hub was unprecedented and we had people queuing round the stand all day to take part”.
Finally, Seamus McMahon from Quinn Building Products added: “Overall, it was good to see so many familiar faces in the crowds and the opportunity to meet and make new customers was tenfold. It has certainly been an outstanding success for Quinn Building Products.”
