Quinn Building Products is one of a number of companies who have collaborated with Quarry Products Association Northern Ireland (QPANI), South West College and Northern Regional College to develop the Construction Products Engineering Apprenticeship. This initiative provides high achieving young people with a unique opportunity to build a successful career in a diverse sector.
Speaking of the initiative, Caroline McCaffrey, Quinn Building Products’ Human Resources Officer said,
“It’s important as large employers in the quarry sector for us to help build the future talent of the industry, and we do that through our collaborative relationships with local education bodies such as South West College and Northern Regional College. We have a responsibility to lead the way in developing industry skills, and providing young people with the opportunity to gain invaluable industry experience which is highly sought after by employers. This gives them opportunities which may not be available to them without this type of support from the industry.”
This initiative provides high achieving young people with a unique opportunity to build a successful career in a diverse sector. It provides young people with the opportunity to enter education and employment simultaneously, greatly enhancing their employment prospects on completion of their studies.
