UK Construction Week proved to be hugely successful for the Quinn Building Products team who received the Best Stand under 100m2 Award at this year’s event.
Nathan Garnett, UK Construction Week Event Director, presented the award to the Quinn team after the stand had proven very popular with visitors to the show and explained why Quinn had been selected for the award saying,
“Quinn won the award because they had such an interactive stand. The green screen feature was a fantastic idea as people stopped out of intrigue, then loved having their picture taken. It was also a very clever way of capturing customers details and also the social media buzz that followed as people posted their pictures.This was coupled with a great stand design, a successful launch of the Genius by Quinn app, and staff that were friendly and approachable. All the ingredients for a successful show.”
UK Construction Week is the UK’s largest built environment event with over 500 exhibitors showcasing over 10,000 products at the 2019 show to over 35,000 visitors.
One of the key attractions on the Quinn stand was the company’s #GeniusByQuinn Snap and Share competition, which allowed visitors to become part of an iconic image using a green screen and some clever editing. Each participant was given a printed photo to take away with them and had the chance to win £500 by sharing on social media.
Visitors could choose the image they wanted to appear in from a selection of iconic scenes which had each been slightly modified to include Quinn products, such as Quinn Precast, Rooftiles and Cement.
The green screen proved to be a big hit, with hundreds of people taking part and getting creative in the process.
Quinn’s Assistant Marketing Manager, Paula McCaffrey, spoke of Quinn’s award following the event, saying,
“We’re delighted to have been awarded Best Stand under 100 m2 at the show and it’s testimony to the hard work of the whole team in bringing together a unique and very interactive concept to help promote our new Merchant App, Genius by Quinn. The stand has been incredibly busy throughout the show. We’ve had fantastic interaction and a lot of fun, with a great response on social media too.
We’ve also had a lot of engagement in relation to product and technical enquiries. The whole team have been kept very busy throughout the week and there has been a very positive response to our messages around innovation, sustainability and our unique mixed loads delivery solution.”
The #GeniusByQuinn promotion celebrated the launch of Quinn’s new merchant App at the show, Genius By Quinn, which has been developed in partnership with NBG to simplify the delivery management process for Quinn customers and to maximise the value the company’s merchants get from their unique mixed loads deliveries.
As well as giving merchants a simple digital solution for their delivery management, the App will provide customers access to a full library of technical and product resources to ensure they have the knowledge to advise their customers at their fingertips.
Speaking of the new Genius by Quinn App, Quinn’s GB Sales and Marketing Director, Lee Gillman, said,
“The key thing for us is that the App has been built specifically to address the needs of merchants, who have been heavily involved throughout the design and development process. Their input at every stage was crucial to refining and adapting every detail to ensure the end product is a functional and practical solution which delivers value by addressing the “pain points” experienced by merchants.
Showcasing the Genius by Quinn App at UK Construction Week was very fitting given the theme of this year’s show was innovation. We’ve had a great deal of interest in the new App and are looking forward to rolling this out to our NBG customers initially.”
Quinn’s diverse suite of complimentary building products were also showcased at the event, with sales and technical experts available to speak to visitors about the full Quinn range, including Quinn Therm insulation, Quinn Rooftiles, Quinn Precast, Quinn Cement and the newly extended Quinn Lite range of aircrete blocks.
