Quinn Therm Refurbishment

9th July 2015

Quinn Therm has recently completed a significant investment in the region of €500,000 for the enhancement and upgrading of its plant and machinery.

Equipment was installed and commissioned as part of a 13 day plant shutdown. The work was completed by Hennecke Gmbh with all mechanical and electrical works carried out by five local engineering contract firms in association with the in-house Quinn engineering and maintenance department.

This upgrade will greatly improve the Quinn Therm plants’ carbon footprint creating the capability to reduce wastage to landfill and incineration thus significantly reducing disposal costs.

Being one of the most modern, world class high speed PIR lamination line in the country, and with millions of square metres of insulated foam production to its credit, the new system gives Quinn Therm higher quality, distortion free and smooth running lamination.

Management and staff at the plant are delighted with the refurbishment, coupled with further software and process upgrades planned for later in the year Quinn Therm will continue to produce a high quality product for the Irish and UK market.
